How do you feel about the results of choosing final project groups? Are you ready to be challenged by the final project?
Describe which aspects of the program have had the strongest impact on you so far.
Engine room
Describe something (knowledge, productivity tip, design insight, coding trick, workflow protip, etc.) gleaned from your last team that you applied to today's weather work with your new partner.
Instead of both of us doing separate things there was more collaboration, including the use of the driver-navigator style thingy. My partner also caught my numerous coding mistakes.
I feel good about it and am sure that we can make something cool, I guess I am ready to be challenged. The basic things needed seem to be simple to do.
I'm happy with the results of the final project groups. I feel that I work well with the people in my group, and the project itself should be interesting/challenging. I am ready to be challenged by the final project.
The ability to create most aspects of the simple chain reaction game has had the strongest impact on me so far. It is nice to have created something functional with a purpose. It was also challenging (in a good way) to learn to code all aspects of the game.
Being able to get one on ones has had the strongest impact on me because without that I can wouldn't fully understand half of the material. I dont feel completely ready for the final project but being able to work in groups will make it more of a success.
It was okay, I'm not sure if I'm ready. We are still not exactly sure of what to do, so I am still not exactly sure whether I will be able to succeed in finishing the final project.
The strongest impact that this program has had on me are new friends. It makes it much more enjoyable than being unsociable. But then switching happened too often and I don't exactly get a chance to know some people more.
I think the results of the final project group turned out quite well. I feel ready to probably get 9,000,000,000 different indistinct errors in the process of creating my glorious final project, too.
I feel like the aspect of being taught to code had the biggest impact because before the program I didn't actually know how to code.
I feel good about the groups for the final project. I can't wait to be challenged. I'm excited about making power ups for the game we are making for the final project, which is brick breaker.
I feel like the results of choosing final projects was successful. Even though I didn't necessarily get to do one of the projects I chose, I'm happy with the one I got and I'm ready to attempt the project.
At CSTUY I was able to learn some techniques in programming that I didn't realize at first, which I think has had a strong impact on my projects. But aside from the actual programming, I feel that the socialization aspects of the day has helped me to make new friends.
I like the idea of choosing final project groups because it pairs me with people who are also interested in creating the same game that I would like to make so it allows for more teamwork.
The aspect of communication and group work have had the strongest impact on me.
I don't feel too good because we haven't come to an agreement but i think that it will work really well. The aspects that have made me think about how amazing this program is that it made me realize that if you work with somebody else or cooperate you can finish your work 100% faster and 500 % better.
I'm, for lack of a better word, terrified with the task that I've come up with. Digger Snake - a less restricted version of the snake ever-famous game. I can't wait to see how it'll look. I was wish I had a more coherent understanding of Processing though.
The project the group is deciding to do isn't the one I originally had in mind. Regardless, the final project looks promising. And yes I look forward to the challenge.
Similar to what we did in my last team, we designed our project on paper before actually programming it, which allowed us to know what we were doing and how the webpage was going to be formatted.
It was good. i was put in a group that have similar interests as me so it should work out. I am ready to start the project. None of the projects really had an impact on me.
In term of challenge, I'm ready. We still don't have a solid idea of what we're trying to do. It's heading in the same direction, but some of us are still confused by the ideas of others which is branching off of others' interests. Part of it is that I don't like making games, but I don't hate video games while some have no idea what to do. I'm sure one of us can come up with one that we all can agree on by tomorrow, hopefully. I just think that some of our ideas for a game are too linear and the results are expected to be the same every time; either win, lose, or get the most point possible.
The results were somewhat unexpected, but we were able to work something out as a group. The final project will be challenging, but it will be fun and interesting to be able to work on it and make a final product that is exactly what we originally envisioned. So far, pair programming has something that I appreciate when working on a project. At times, it is okay to work alone. But, it is a lot better working with someone since there is another opinion/perspective on the project that is helpful.
I used quite a good deal of flask knowledge and some workflow that i developed, especially mkanig sue of comments, constantly saving and pushing things to the github. Also, I made sure to keep working code
The results of the groupings turned out well as I'm pretty comfortable with all the other members of my group. We were able to cooperate in choosing the topic without any disagreements. I think we're ready to take on the challenge because we had learned a lot in the short time that the program has been running. However, I also believe that there are going to be some complications since we have never created a project that large and complicated.
I feel pretty good about the final project, even though it might be hard. I like how we were able to choose what we wanted to work on instead of being put into a random group.By choosing our projects ourselves, we get to be in a group with people who share the same interests. I think the help from the TA's, teachers, and my other classmates impacted me the most.
I'm a bit disappointed with the results; the group I was placed in is doing the project I wanted to do the least out of the four I chose, and even then it was only on my list mostly because I needed a fourth option.
What I've learned has been the biggest part of the program so far.
1.) I am OK with the final project groups and I believed that I am indeed ready the final challenge. I think that the group I am in is collaborating quite nicely and that we will come along just fine. The task we have come up with is certainly difficult and I think it might take a lot of dedication for us to properly complete our project.
2.) So far, I think the constant changing of partners has increased the rate at which I met new people and gotten to know my colleagues. All in all, this program is fun.
Instead of both of us doing separate things there was more collaboration, including the use of the driver-navigator style thingy. My partner also caught my numerous coding mistakes.
ReplyDeleteToday we teamworked.
ReplyDeleteWe had many tricks to use,
we used some of them.
I feel good about it and am sure that we can make something cool, I guess I am ready to be challenged.

The results were good but I don't think I will be challenged.

ReplyDeleteLearning as so far had the strongest impact.
Using one computer to code on and the other to research and handle small operations was great.
ReplyDeleteit is good and also challenging, yes i am ready to make an awesome gamee :)
ReplyDelete1.im fine
ReplyDelete2.im ready.
3.the chain reaction
1. I'm satisfied with my group members and our group project plan.
ReplyDelete2. Narrowing it down to four possible project ideas had the biggest impact on me.
I learned how to work together better.
ReplyDeleteLitterally nothing.
ReplyDeleteCo-pilot coding
ReplyDeleteHelped us work in tandem well
Combined knowledge works.
Teamwork in general, how to work together on code
ReplyDeleteI frequently commited to github whenever I got something to work so that my partner could edit and use my software.

ReplyDeleteToday, a useful skill from my previous team I learned was to isolate tasks for each team member, and share ideas once they appear.
Learning to communicate effectively before starting the code and also planning out code on paper before creating py files.
ReplyDeleteI learned how to use git hub a lot better and it allowed me to exchange code with my partner more easily today.
ReplyDelete1) Nothing. I didnt really interact with my group previously.
